We bring to each engagement a financial service team possessing varied competencies.  The team identifies the needs of the clients and develops a pathway that will transform the clients’ vision into reality.  We believe that each client first needs a solid accounting foundation before implementing a sound plan for strategic financial growth.

MT Pinero, PC was established in 1992.  We serve clients primarily in Maryland, the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia but our clientele is national, with many organizations working in a virtual environment.

 We are active members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of CPAs.

Maribel Torres-Pinero, CPA/President

Since 1992, Maribel Torres-Pinero has been serving the tax and accounting needs of individuals, businesses and not-for-profits in the Washington DC metropolitan area.  Maribel graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and has been a CPA since 1990.  Prior to starting MT Pinero, PC in 1992, she worked for Arthur Andersen’s tax division and as an auditor for the U.S. General Accountability Office.

Maribel has been recognized for her public service by the Small Business Administration (Accountant Advocate of the year in 1999), by the Montgomery County Government and by the numerous not-for-profit organization where she has participated as a Board Member (as Treasurer, Vice President and President).  She is also a graduate of the 2002 Leadership Montgomery program.  Her recent focus has been growing and strengthening MT Pinero PC and devoting time to her family.
